Gloria O’Flannery began her first day on Captiva as an on-site sales representative working for VIP Realty at South Seas Plantation in 1979. After receiving her securities license (in addition to her brokers license), she left and continued to pursue her chosen specialty in resort investment properties at the well-known Saddlebrook Resort in Wesley Chapel, Florida. Moving on to the Cayman Islands and then eventually back to Captiva.

Since her return in 1990, Gloria has been brokering deals on both Sanibel and Captiva Islands with South Seas Sanibel and Captiva Properties while enlarging her circle of contacts with a variety of community organizations.

She is on the board of directors of the American Cancer Society and serves on the fundraising committees of both ACS “Relay For Life” and “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer”. Gloria is also a member of the Captiva Civic Association, Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation and the Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW). Gloria has a Sanibel & Captiva Islands Specialist Designation.

In 2004, she joined the Captiva Office of the Sanibel Island-based VIP Realty Group.
